Element: Review Industry 4.0 systems and technologies for relevance to manufacturing, engineering and related services
  • Identify key technologies and systems covered by the term Industry 4.0
  • Analyse basic principles of operation of Industry 4.0 related technologies and their relationship to lean systems and product lifecycle management that are relevant to the workplace
  • Research and evaluate factors, conditions, and contexts essential to effective application of Industry 4.0 technologies and systems in a manufacturing or related organisation
       
Element: Analyse current state of digital technologies and data flow in own workplace
  • Review workplace operations for currently used Industry 4.0 technologies and systems
  • Identify communication, information and data flows within and between teams, departments and external organisations
  • Analyse scope of current data collection systems and identify potential for increased data collection, sharing and analysis
  • Identify current workplace internal and external networking systems and technology
       
Element: Propose measures to improve workplace operations using Industry 4.0
  • Consult with other employees, managers and internal experts on products and processes that could be improved through Industry 4.0 systems
  • Identify and prioritise Industry 4.0 related systems to improve operations
  • Analyse risks and potential limiting factors for implementation of selected Industry 4.0 systems
  • Prepare a written or verbal report proposing implementation strategy for selected Industry 4.0 systems

Assessment Tasks
